Maybe the type may reflect that it's not supposed to be a long now. Although for what I've learnt about C, in practice it will probably still be a long. And I can't be sure whether in some platforms where it will indeed be a short the code will keep compiling, so maybe it's safer just to remove the outdated comment, or whatever you decide. I'm just finding things while I work in the bindings =) And I was surprised to learn about the little guarantees C gives regarding the types sizes...
